In the old town — a few minutes on foot
The whole Znojmo sub-region in one room — a self-service tasting where you pour your own samples from dozens of local growers. The ideal first evening: find out what you like, then go looking for that particular cellar.
The Blue Cellars of Nový Šaldorf
≈ 3 km — on foot, by bike or by car
A whole lane of cellar façades cut into the sandstone slope and painted the traditional Šaldorf blue — one of the most photogenic spots in the Znojmo area. Three kilometres from the palace, so you can walk there and (rather more carefully) back.

Tips for trips
We recommend the romantic ruins of Nový Hrádek near Lukov, the castles of Bítov and Vranov nad Dyjí, the Havraníky heath with a bottle of local wine, and the extensive network of cycling routes along the Dyje. We will gladly suggest the best of the season.
